It Just Got Real
You need a vehicle that can handle your world. The bZ4X can do just that. The bZ4X is Toyota’s first-ever battery electric vehicle in South Africa, but this isn’t an EV that’s built for the future. It’s made for right now. This capable, all-wheel drive SUV is just as comfortable off-road as it is on it. It isn’t made to just cope with South Africa, it’s here to tackle it head on.

Performance Just Got Real
Experience the exhilaration of real power instantaneously when your foot touches the accelerator, because there are no delays in the all-electric, all powerful, bZ4X.
The bZ4X is powered by a 73.1 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a projected driving range of approximately 450–480 km, with an electric motor power of 255.3kW.
The bZ4X is driven by a dedicated dual-motor E-Four all-wheel-drive system, delivering power to all corners with the kind of confidence to tame any road.
Plus, with a 750kg (braked and unbraked) towing capacity in the bZ4X, it doesn’t ask you to change how you live or drive, it just elevates the experience.

Styling
Real Style
Make a statement whether you’re cruising through the city or taking on some off-road trails. The new bZ4X doesn’t look like anything that came before it. And that’s the point. At the front, the hammerhead-inspired face makes its intentions clear. Wide, purposeful, and unapologetic.
Each corner carries that character, integrating LED headlamps, aerodynamic features and sensors into a design that’s as functional as it is striking. Its stance is broad and confident; with 20-inch alloys that fill every arch.
Interior
Real Sophistication
Step inside one of the most sophisticated Toyota’s ever made. The bZ4X makes its intentions clear, with the driver and occupants at the centre of everything.
Behind the wheel, the controls give you an intuitive connection, so that driving the bZ4X feels less like operating a car, and more like an extension of your instincts.
When you turn your eyes to the roof of the vehicle, you’ll notice a panoramic roof. A flick of the button opens it up to stretch light and space across the cabin to give passengers an incredible view.
The premium JBL sound system with 9 speakers means the soundtrack to your getaway is as thrilling as the destination itself. A high-resolution, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, heads-up display and dual wireless charging pads all add to an elevated driving experience, even when you’re roughing it.

A digital rearview mirror takes driver visibility up a notch with a rear-mounted camera to stream live video to a screen on your rear-view mirror. It provides a wider, obstruction-free field of view and superior night visibility.
Sky's The Limit
Hybrid VX and PHEV models add a panoramic roof while non-hybrid VX and GR-S models have a moon roof, giving everyone the chance to look up and dream.
Convenience
It Just Got Real Easy
Even though the terrain you’re tackling may be tough, inside the bZ4X, things are made incredibly easy for you.
Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, over-the-air software updates, and intelligent parking assist with a panoramic view monitor all mean that when you’re behind the wheel of the bZ4X, you’re in complete control.
Added to that, seat heaters and ventilation, seat lumbar support and dual-zone climate control make the ride comfortable and luxurious for every passenger in the car.
Technology
Real Advanced
Driving the cutting-edge of technology doesn’t feel like a foreign experience, it feels like stepping things up a notch.
All-electric means zero delays. Powered by a high-capacity, lithium-ion battery and advanced electric motors, the bZ4X delivers smooth, instant acceleration, while regenerative braking quietly recaptures energy every time you slow down.
Once you’re ready to feel what the bZ4X can do, a 7-inch Multi-Information Display allows you to view every detail you need to know about your vehicle.
Smart battery management systems optimise performance and longevity in real-world South African conditions.
