The Corolla Hatch is available in either a 1.8-litre Hybrid or in a 2.0-litre petrol engine, both featuring a host of efficiency-boosting technologies such as the VVT-iw (Variable Valve Timing – intelligent wide) intake; a direct injection fuel delivery and flexible engine cycle switching; a 10:1 compression ratio, and smart-heat management. The petrol engine delivers 125 kW of power at 6600 r/min and torque of 202 Nm at 4600 – 5000 r/min. The Hybrid model produces 72 kW of power at 5200 r/min and torque is measured at 142 Nm at 3600 /min.

Lane Keeping System* with Lane Trace Assist* helps avoid lane departure with driving support and warning to the driver. The system uses a camera sensor on the windshield glass to recognise the lane markers, warn the driver, and support steering wheel manoeuvre in accordance with road conditions and driving situations. The Pre-Crash System (PCS)* uses sensors to detect a preceding vehicle, pedestrians, and bicyclist on the vehicle’s path and assists the driver in collision avoidance. It applies additional brake force to help avoid a collision and mitigate collision impact.

The Corolla hatch comes fitted with SRS airbags, giving both drivers and passengers added protection in case of an accident. Child protection locks on the doors and ISOFIX seat belt connectors ensure car seats are fitted to international safety standards.
