Power For Playing

The new Toyota Rumion is as easy to drive, as it is economical to own. All models are equipped with a powerful but ultra-efficient 1.5ℓ four-cylinder petrol engine. Available in a 5-speed manual or the convenience of a 4-speed automatic transmission. Maximum power of 77 kW is produced at 6 000 r/min and peak torque of 138 Nm @ 4 400 r/min. The Toyota Rumion’s ease of manoeuvring and comfortable ride come courtesy of MacPherson strut front suspension, while at the rear a torsion beam axle keeps the tyres on the tarmac.

Reversing is made a whole lot easier with a reverse camera in the SX and TX models. With the multi-function steering wheel and Bluetooth phone pairing, the driver can take full command of the audio system, Multi- Information Display, and mobile phone operations without moving their hands from the steering wheel. Whether it’s the school run or open road trips, cruise control function helps you concentrate on the road. Making driving seamless and comfortable.

The Rumion makes driving easier, even on steep tracks or slippery surfaces. Hill Assist Control (HAC)* and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) let you drive almost anywhere with ease. All models come standard with rear parking sensors and front seatbelt warning.

The driver and front passenger are each protected by front airbags, as well as safety belts with a pre-tensioner, force limiter, front seatbelt warning and Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR). The latter allows the easy extension of the seatbelt to facilitate comfortable movement by the passenger, but will lock the seatbelt during a sudden stop or impact.

Rear passengers are safeguarded by three-point seat belts, also fitted with an Emergency Locking Retractor. Furthermore, ISOFIX mounting brackets serve to secure baby seats, while the rear doors are fitted with child locks.

ABS with EBD

EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), an ABS evolution, distributes braking force to each corner, accommodating variations in weight distribution and tyre grip during braking.

Rear Park Distance Control (RPDC)

Sensors in the vehicle's bumpers scan for nearby stationary objects. When an object is detected, a beeper sounds, and it's proximity is displayed* on the infotainment screen.
